Ryder was Ali Doodles Whoodles first Sire. He produced one lovely litter of Whoodles before being tragically taken by a speeding motorist.

Fortunately, we kept one of Ryder's adorable Whoodles, Ryder Junior.  The memories of Ryder live on through Junior.  Junior doesn't just wag his tail.  He wags from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail!  Speaking of tails, Junior's older sister, Sophie, our one year old Soft Coated Wheaten terrier, loves to pull on Junior's tail : )  It is so funny to watch the two of them play.  Sophie adores Junior.

The really tragic thing is that we thought that Ryder was perfectly safe in our fenced back yard when we received a telephone call from a police officer telling us our Ryder was gone. We learned an invaluable lesson that we want to pass along. More dogs are lost during thunderstorms and fireworks than at any other time. Apparently, Ryder had been frightened by fireworks in the area and jumped our fence. He ran over ½ mile away and was struck by a speeding truck as good Samaritans trying to save Ryder were watching. It was a heartbreaking experience and I encourage you to always have your dog inside his crate during storms or fireworks.
